Arriving by car?

In the heart of London's Notting Hill, the Portobello Gold's Location is second to none.

We are 2 miles from Paddington Station and 5 minutes from Notting Hill Gate.

There is abundant parking right outside the door except on Saturdays when we have the Portobello antiques market (there is meter parking within 100 yards until 1.30pm).  On weekdays 9.30-6.30, there are pay and display meters at £1.50 per hour . Also we are now in the congestion charge zone costing £8 a day from 7am-6.30pm and FREE outside these hours and at weekends. Also bear in mind that as long as your car stays still it won't incur a charge! So arrive after 6.30pm, go into the City next day, we'll feed your meter and it will cost you around £14 - move (past a camera) and it's £22.

Eurostar?

Ladbroke Grove tube station is on the Hammersmith and city line and is a brief walk down Ladbroke Grove.

Notting Hill is on the central, circle and district lines. Take the right turn exit out of the station and go left up the stairs. Turn right at Mook, then stick to your right as the road splits and take the first hard left after boutique stores- the beginning of Portobello Road. Follow it a long block and a half and we're on your left hand side.

St Pancras: Take the District or Circle line tube to Notting Hill Gate We are 600 yards from the station.

Directions from airports Gatwick: Take the train shuttle (every 15 mins) to Victoria station. From there a Taxi will take about 15-20 mins (8). Alternatively, take the Circle line underground train to Notting Hill Gate (1.90 per person). There is a five minute walk to the Gold from the station, so you might be better advised to take the Taxi if you have very heavy bags. Do not try to come by road - it is a disaster from the south.

Heathrow: There is a bus straight to Notting Hill Gate (approx 10), alternatively you can take the tube (change at Earls court). There is also a £13 (£25 return) shuttle from Heathrow to Paddington, from where a Taxi will cost about 7. This will be the quickest in the rush hour . Do not take a taxi in the morning rush hour but if you are in company then a taxi all the way from the airport to the Gold will probably cost around 25 and is best for off-peak times- but do ask first: they vary.

Stanstead: Take the Stanstead express (15 one-way to Liverpool Street station.) Take the Central line tube to Notting Hill Gate We are 600 yards from the station.
